Fics like in the ways that matter

The competition was Pepper’s idea, part of her strategy to appeal to the younger generation while gaining good publicity for the company. All Tony had to do, she’d said, was chose from a group of contestants, mentor one of them for a few months and then announce them as his bright new protege. Tony thought it was a terrible idea, declaring that he was not fit to be a mentor, and then avoiding the subject all together. That was, until he met Peter, a suspicious boy who was too quiet and too intelligent and who Tony inexplicably starts to care about. Peter, having unknowingly entered himself into this competition, struggles to scrape enough money together on his intern’s wage for food and rent, while trying his best to forget MJ (and failing miserably). Or What if Tony and Peter never met and they both survived endgame? Originally posted in 2023 New chapter added 28/08/2026
