It's summer, 1985. Eddie Munson has an actual legal job for a change, at the record store in the new Starcourt Mall. It's not without its hardships but the job also its compensations - there's the employee discount, of course, and then there's the fact that he finds it absolutely hilarious that one of the most annoying, arrogant, irritatingly perfect-looking guys from school is stuck working at the ice-cream parlour in the mall, wearing a silly little sailor suit. It becomes less hilarious when Eddie realises he actually kind of likes him now.
