Fics like The Beast Broken (Hero's Lament)

Link hadn't realized it in that split second of choice, but he had made the worst decision of his life. He plunged the blade of the Master Sword deep through the chest of Princess Zelda, hoping to fell the Demon Thief that puppeted her limp body. It was obvious that he'd made a mistake when the body laughed and blood pooled beneath its back. Yet he surged onward, knowing his victory would heal the wound. But without her arrows, Hyrule was as good as gone. The hilt of Ganondorf's sword hit the back of his head, and Link was unconscious even before Epona threw him from the saddle. -- ‼️ ATTENTION ‼️ If you read this before 12/25/2024, PLEASE reread the whole thing. This fic has been heavily updated. Nothing has been removed, but a lot has been added and expanded upon. Chapter 4 has been split into two parts: ch4 and ch5. I will get 5 out ASAP. About 10,000 words were added in this update, even without ch5. Thanks for holding on! I’m excited to get this ship sailing again :)
