Fics like home for the holidays

Christmas Eve of 1997 finds Harry Potter and Hermione Granger in Godric's Hollow, searching desperately for the sword of Gryffindor. Christmas Eve of 1980 finds the Potter household throwing a small party, inviting their closest friends over for dinner, gifts, and a chance to meet their young son. When a magical accident causes these two nights to collide, Harry Potter is left torn between two worlds-- one where the entire magic world is relying on him to return and finish his fight, and another where he finally has the chance to meet his parents. He's simultaneously desperate to return and praying he can stay-- but for the first time in his life, it's not something he has to figure out alone.
