Fics like The Beauty of Life is Only Possible After Death

“Just one kiss,” Miles pleaded, nearly running forward to grab at Miguel’s wrist. “A teensy, tiny, single kiss. Just…just to know that you’re real.” What…? Miguel paused, raising an eyebrow behind his mask. “What do you mean by that?” Miles looked to the side, forlorn. “Look, man…life ain’t easy for all of us. And, y’know – what I’m trying to say –” Miles stopped himself, taking a sharp breath as he looked back at Miguel. “My life sucks. It fucking sucks. And out of all the bad shit that’s happened to me in the past, you, right now, at my present, are the only thing that doesn’t feel real. And I –” A choked sob left the boy’s lips. “And a part of me just wants to be selfish. I…I don’t want to see the one real thing in my life disappear…” A FlowerFang story about love even in death. :D
