Fics like Fighting Gravity

Funded by a guild more than a millennium old, Valdora Prime recruits the best minds in medicine, engineering, geology, botany, and quantum studies. The opportunity to work at Valdora Prime means Jared Padalecki can be part of the foremost research facility in the galaxy and be more than a concierge doctor to the wealthiest planets and colonies. Here, he can make a difference. Here, he can hide what he really is … Three years after being hired, Jared’s safe, comfortable life pretending to be human is turned upside down. It all starts with the arrival of the new head of security, a Kesalonian named Jensen Ackles, whose physical strength is matched only by his charm. Jared fights the forces pushing them together, but as he and Jensen grow closer, Jared’s web of secrets begins to unravel. His research attracts dangerous attention and outside forces threaten to destroy everything Jared has built. Now, Jared needs to decide if he trusts Jensen with the truth of what he really is, or be left to suffer another betrayal. Written for the SPN J2 Big Bang. Featuring art by Quickreaver.
