Fics like wrath is just pride revisited (when you know how things are supposed to be)

Misha Bachynskyi was the kid who didn't care. Raring to fail. Never put any effort in. Smart kid, aced his exams without studying, but never turned in homework and wouldn't stand up for choir without arguing about it. And if Ocean's constant criticism only started to affect him when nobody was there to see it, then it was fine. It wasn't even as though he could claim to be frustrated that he was trying his hardest and it still wasn't good enough, because he wasn't trying his hardest. He couldn't try his hardest. He had been stressed for coming up on eighteen years, he was so tired he wanted to die sometimes, and it just wasn't possible to put in as much effort as he wanted to. Or: The one where Noel decides July should be gay wrath month, Savannah can't explain anything without a convoluted comparison to a Kirby game, and Misha learns that some of his experiences aren't as normal as he assumed.
