Fics like To Be Warmed in the Blaze

“You don’t want me anymore,” he whispers, saline creasing his face and mucus clogging his throat. “What?” Remus’ voice is all concern. “It’s ugly.” Sirius gestures vaguely to his chest. “And you don’t want me anymore.” “Sirius, I love you.” “But not enough to sleep with me, right?” he snaps. “You’re hurt,” Remus insists, panic still flooding his tone. “This isn’t gonna feel good for you. This isn’t what you want.” “So? Maybe I don’t want it to feel good.” Sirius crosses his arms over his chest, suddenly feeling too exposed. OR Remus is ready to burn the whole world down for Sirius. And Sirius is ready to jump into the flames. A fic about scars, the ways we punish ourselves, and what it means to love someone.
