Fics like the burden we both share

Years before Brimsley became the Queen's man, he was a footman serving in the palace. A simple servant like any other with dreams and ambitions of becoming something more. People know Brimsley as a friendly, diligent and hard working man. That is, most people, save for the King's man, Reynolds. He is the only person who seems to keep finding fault with Brimsley and rightly so, seeing as he, the King's man, holds the highest position amongst the servants and can of course, do whatever he pleases in his free time. It just so happens, that Reynolds likes to spend time with Brimsley, though he will never say it, choosing instead to keep it all under the the guise of teaching Brimsley a lesson or two. But the truth will always find a way out.
