Fics like Passing the Torch

When Rex wakes up in a dream of Elysium after being stabbed in the back, he encounters a mysterious blonde-haired girl. Mythra, the Legendary Aegis, wishes to pass her power on to the young salvager so that he can reach Elysium and save Alrest from destruction at her brother’s hand. But can Rex, now serving as the Aegis in her place, really succeed where she failed five hundred years ago, or is he doomed to repeat the tragedy of the past?
