Fics like Maximum Metal

David didn't expect to be met with a mountain of metal when he cracked open the Arasaka truck that was his quarry- well, maybe he did, but not this mountain of metal. The only thing going through his mind initially was if he'd been given bum information, if the job was a bust and he'd been screwed out of a payout. However, faced with an impossible fight ahead of him; a face off with Militech, MaxTac and - unbeknownst to him - the goddamn boogeyman of Night City, installing himself into this powered armor, this 'DaiOni', might just give him the edge he needs to emerge on the other side alive, assuming his mind is still in one piece by the end of it. (Starts partway through Episode 9 and diverges from there)
