Fics like The Elegance of the Mysterious and Distant

Charlie leaped up, his smile replaced by a melancholic gaze. "I… I remember. I have– had a daughter." Pupils widened larger than humanely possible, overwhelmed by the reminiscence of past and present. "Holy fuck, dude. Holy fuck we made it, we're home." We're. It wasn't theirs. This wasn't Ran's sanctuary - nothing familiar remained, not even the mall, with holes left unfilled and unsatisfied. Grabbing their forearm with a grip almost exploding with desperation, Charlie exclaimed, "Welcome to Quesadilla Island!" Or A Gen Loss AU where Charlie and Ranboo manage to escape the mall and stumble into Charlie's home and memories, Quesadilla Island. If only this were Ranboo's home too - the Federation don't seem to like uninvited guests. Update: erm actually I've kinda abandoned this bc I didn't think it through and I dislike how I've written it. Might rewrite it in the future (?) No promises
