Fics like rebels with a cause

Steve goes through a few seconds more of having his shoulder pummelled before saying, “Dude, you’re doing a shitty job at being undercover, stay down.” “Like, do you have any idea,” Eddie says breathily, as if Steve hasn’t spoken, “just how perfect that was? That was, God, a childhood dream fully—” “You dreamed of stealing an RV?” Steve says dubiously. “Not in such crude literal terms, no. C’mon, Harrington, you must’ve had an imagination once—” “Hey!” “—didn’t you ever dream of, like, daring escapes, pulling the sword outta the stone, all that shit?” Steve thinks about it. “I mean,” he says, “when I was a kid, I just kinda… climbed trees and stuff.” Eddie sighs as if he can’t decide whether Steve’s done something especially annoying or endearing. “Of course you did.”
