Isn’t that so adorable, you guys?” “What?” I said. “We’re friends, though, aren’t we?” I asked Kenny directly, though he wouldn’t look me in the eyes. “Oh man this is sweet,” Cartman said. “Did you really think that someone like you could be Kenny’s friend? He just wanted to have some fun with a guy as pathetic as you, that’s it.” I couldn’t stop looking at Kenny, waiting for him to speak up and tell me that’s not true. To tell them that Cartman was lying. But he didn’t do anything, except laugh. When people laughed, Kenny’s eyes finally met mine, and he stared laughing with them. He started laughing at me.
