Fics like Drink it smoke it, snort it, shoot it. You got one body, you got to use it

The room had that drunken hue of half light: yellowish, casting strange shadows in the corners, making the spaces between the walls seem larger and somehow darker, even mysterious. Thick smoke from the opium diffuser burning in the corner of the bedside table, filtering the shifting lighting with its musky scent, almost too bitter for the sensitive nose, but by this point, Karl was more than used to the familiar scent of the narcotic, it was almost how to get back home. In the center of the room, as in all good cabarets, was the bed. The canopy with the messy dark silk sheets, feather pillows strewn across the soft mattress, and a man sprawled across it. Not just any man, of course. Arthur.
