Fics like Alpha Bullshit

During a perfectly mundane and anecdoctal dinner, Will learns that a strange community of people online has made a poster boy out of his husband. He dives into it and realizes just how wild some of the takes on Hannibal Lecter are. *** “They used his picture to illustrate an article about what a woman should do to date an Alpha man,” he said, hoping to see some of his bewilderment on her face. She laughed out loud, delighted by the idea. “You've read it?” she asked. “What?” “The article. You’ve read it?” /!\ The term Alpha refers here to the ridiculous masculinist mindset we can see online. The famous "alpha male". It is not a A/B/O fic, nor is it a mockery of the trope. It's a mockery of misogyny.
