Fics like Hopefully, I Won't Wake Up This Time

Eddie led him away from the house towards the forest that backed onto it. It was quieter here, and Steve could breathe a little easier. He slumped down on the ground, leaning against a tree, and looked up at Eddie. The moonlight shone behind him, making Eddie almost glow, and Steve let out a dopey smile despite himself. “You’re fucking pretty,” Steve murmured, and Eddie dropped to his knees in front of him. “You’re fucking drunk,” He countered, and Steve ran his tongue over the inside of his dry mouth, raising his eyebrows in agreement. “What happened, Steve? I haven’t seen you this drunk, ever.” “Nothing happened,” Steve reached for Eddie, fisting a hand in his jacket. “Nothing ever happens, s’the problem.” ***** While everyone moves on around him, Steve finds himself stuck, pushing his friends away and turning to alcohol to cope. Eddie intervenes.
