Fics like 2004

In which I try to heal my soul from the trauma of having read George Orwell's 1984. A sort of fix-it (not in the time travel sense) fic set 20-ish years later, detailing Oceania's slow collapse. Definitely gonna be a slow burn, but aiming to upload weekly? I didn't mean to put racism in it, it just sort of happened because much of it is set in the New York metropolitan area in a world where people like MLK and Rosa Parks were probably killed off for being too smart. Tbf, the original has Winston mention how he hates all women in passing so Hopefully the prologue is not too weird lol
