Fics like fishie buddies yayyyy

So you’ve crash-landed on an alien planet. Knowing Alterra’s history, it’s going to be a while before anyone bothers to look for you. Or any of the other maybe-nonexistent survivors of this stupid crash. You don’t know what’s going on anymore. You’re just a kid; you weren’t trained on how to survive this kind of thing. You weren’t even originally supposed to go on this trip! At least you’ve got a couple mer friends to keep you company. They even have faces that look like little drawings of the sun and moon, instead of the usual humanoid-stuff you’ve seen in books that quite frankly freaked you out at as a (younger) kid. …wait, why are there mers on this planet?
