Fics like theory and practice
Kaveh does not like strangers seeing him vulnerable, but he relaxes in the company of those that he trusts. But Alhaitham does not know which category he falls under. At Bimarstan, the question was irrelevant because Kaveh wouldn't be alone either way. Here, it's different. Kaveh will be alone unless Alhaitham goes to sit with him. It would be nice to sit with him. Reassuring. And it would be easier to make sure that he has everything he needs. But what he needs most is rest. And he won't rest well if he is uncomfortable. Kaveh falls ill. Alhaitham works through some things.
