Fics like Do Not Stand Beside My Grave and Weep

(I am not there, I do not sleep.) After the bombing of Kalm, after Veld had been dragged from the wreckage and patched up, after he had been told about the death of his family, Veld had been left to crawl into a dark corner and ride out the grief - and the heavy drugs Hojo had given him - on his own. At least until an old ghost joins him on the floor of the Shinra manor basement. - Veld sees dead people. Who are not actually dead. It takes him awhile to realize that fact.
