Fics like Silver Belles

The custom was that after he was done with the floors Jim was to report to Silver. What followed next varied; some evenings he spent peeling vegetables, some he washed the dishes, and sometimes he was called to darn a pair of breeches or a sock. Yet as he descended the stairs tonight, Jim heard the raucous laughter of the crew. Suddenly, a far more pleasant prospect came into view. Long John Silver was many things. He was a sailor and a cook, an ursid and a cyborg, the list could go on! But above all else he was a storyteller. Nobody told a story like him! His word was often taken as the truth, and those made of the cynical stuff at least enjoyed every one of his tall tales. When Silver was in high spirits, he could regale the crew up until dawnlight with stories of his past adventures.
