Fics like If No One Else Takes Notice...

Tim is used to the broken promises of his parents and the cold, measured distance from Bruce, but when he's hit with a new truth serum by one of Gotham's latest rogues, all of his long suppressed emotions come pushing through the surface. When Jason came back to Gotham he was not impressed by Bruce's decision to get yet another Robin. He figured he ought to teach Bruce a lesson on what happens when he puts literal children into the line of fire that is vigilantism. It didn't mean anything that there was also a pang of hurt in his chest at the thought of Bruce finding himself a new son so easily. What he doesn't expect is how downright depressing his replacement's life is. What kind of rich kid is all by himself all the time?
