Fics like A man or just a monster?

[ December 5th, 1988 ] Within the dark of the night, a inhuman figure went into the house of three. However what was greeted by it was a child of innocence, their eyes closed as pale arms took them in its grasp. The static of the television ringing louder than before. What was not there was a mother hung within the ceiling by a tight rope up above, not a father pleading for help with blood curdling screams of terror, but an empty quiet room of the absence of the guardians, the quietness of the night filling every corners of the building with lonely silence. The parents seemingly left somewhere and wouldn't return in a long period of time as the beings stood in between. As the hooded man left, the child gone, the alternate looked upon the room with an expression blank yet so full of hunger. Looking upon the TV with unnaturally wide eyes. If their parents were concerned about their son sitting on the ground, staring blankly at the television quietly while joyfully humming along to the non-existent tune on the screen, they didn't say anything. Only going upstairs and heading to bed, oblivious of the monster that now lay dormant in their house. Their lives, now, that lie at the mercy of its hands.
