Fics like "I made a promise to a lady"

After a drunken night with Anyanka, Spike is accidently granted a wish. He's given another chance to prevent Buffy's death and spare her the pain of being ripped out of heaven, and to relive the last year of their lives. Spike sees this as his opportunity to win Buffy's affections, but knowing what's going to happen ahead of time doesn't mean he's become a good enough man for her to accept. Willow and Xander are still headed for disaster in their personal lives if they don't work out their issues, and the Summers sisters are still going to have to find a way to get by in the wake of Joyce's death. An exploration of three couples who never reached happy endings, and a fractured found family that can face anything if they're together.
