Fics like jesus christ, i wish that i was back in oyster bay

Eddie gets starkly sincere sometimes, raw and real, and when he does it’s like Richie can see the kid he fell face-first for back in Maine. Those same huge brown eyes, that same shy smile that’s cute, cute, cute beyond fathomable belief. He would do anything for that kid—challenge his best friend and get knocked in the face for it, slice open his skin and pledge his loyalty in blood—and in that sense, not much has changed. He’s shed blood once more, he’s even killed for him, and by god, he’d do it all over again without even blinking. He’s just happy to have him back in his orbit—the fact that Eddie wants him back, has yearned just as long as he has—that’s just whipped cream and a cherry.
