Fics like teardrop on the fire

“Good evening, master Shaka!” Kiki vividly says from below him. “Hey, Shaka! How are you?” Aldebaran asks from afar, Shaka inferring from the distance of his voice that he is at the stove. “To what do we owe you the visit?” Mu’s tone from besides Aldebaran was playful, but perhaps a bit guarded. Three is a crowd, or so they say; Shaka could feel his resolve slowly crumbling underneath curious gazes knowing that he couldn’t say the true reason, not to anyone else but Mu. Still, as he had already entered the temple, he indeed owed Mu an explanation, as these were temporarily peaceful times and a man like him wouldn’t just frolic around the Sanctuary. or; in which apologies are hard to make.
