Fics like Shogi

Elite shogi player Shikamaru Nara of the Hidden Leaf challenges reigning champion Kankuro of the Hidden Sand in the 1979 World Shogi Championship, but falls for Kankuro's second, Temari, on the way. Meanwhile, the two nations manipulate the shogi match for their political aims. [A retelling of Rice, Andersson, and Ulvaeus' musical Chess, using the Naruto series. One needn't know the plot of Chess to read the work.]
