Fics like our hearts full of holes (but we cover them with our hands)

Even though Jay is relatively calm during social situations, the other ninety-two contestants of Planet Survival are quickly filling the room, and clearly there are some colorful personalities in the crowd. Between Ricky’s charisma, Hoetaek’s screaming popularity (literally, since everyone that sets eyes on him bursts into whoops and hollers), and Jongwoo’s intense aura, he can’t help but feel out of place. Just a bit too plain to really stand out, though he’s not sure he would want to anyways, but nice as people go. Hwanhee-The-Host interrupts Jay’s thoughts through the loudspeakers above: “As far as you are all aware, this is a survival show. Well, we certainly put ‘survival’ in the name!” The metal gates behind Hwanhee thunk, once, twice, and a dent is then made near his head. The whole room tints red, and the alarms in the ceiling start blaring. He should have realized it earlier. A deafening, feral howl rings through the whole building as slowly, too slowly, people begin to realize what lies behind the gates. And before Jay knows what’s happening, they crack open, and all that he can do is run.
