Fics like Everything Your Heart Desires

"It wasn't your fight. It wasn't your war. So…thank you." It was evident that he wasn't used to saying it often. Maybe it cost him to admit that he wasn't as strong as he wanted to show. However, Superman felt like Batman gave him more credit than he deserved. "There should never be thanks between us," he answered sincerely. Seized by madness, he reached out and placed it on Batman's shoulder. He should have taken it off. He found that he didn't want to. He knew he'd crossed the line in their strange relationship, but Bruce didn't tell him to let go of his hand. It felt like he leaned into the touch. He was about to speak when a voice interrupted him. "Hey, get your hands off him, you weirdo!"
