Fics like [Meta] Creating Fanworks set in historical and pseudo-historical settings

At EscapadeCon33 DaughterofElros, Kiyaar, and I crowdsourced a document of resources fic writers in attendance both in-person and online had used for writing historical AUs. We were looking for second level stuff, what we go to after Wikipedia, works that inspired people to write a fic in the first place. This document is missing 99% of history and eras and geographies, with particular gaps outside of Europe and the US. I very much hope to expand it. This is intended to be a living document, please feel free to leave resources you've used to write historical AUs in the comments! A huge thank you to all participants; if you were at the con and would like to be named a co-creator, please drop me a comment.
