Fics like Mechwarrior: Wild Rose

Marie McCloud is a woman stuck in a galaxy coming apart under an interstellar war. So used to being pushed around by forces beyond her control, her life takes a sudden turn when she finds a Battlemech she is uniquely qualified to pilot. Is this finally her chance for a better life? Or the first step down the wrong path? New chapter posted every 3 weeks or so. Audio version is available on Podbean and Apple Podcasts, which has me reading it along with sound effects. Find me on Youtube for the audio version plus art done by the talented fan artists in the Battletech community.
