By the time a man realizes that maybe his father was right, he usually has a son who thinks he's wrong. For Robert, that was V. For V, that was David. For David, that was dealing with the revelation that he now had a father in his life. Now had the man who was supposed to help raise him. Help him with his problems, and maybe extend the courtesy to his friends. So far, V had come through on most of that...albeit nearly eighteen years late. The man had given him and his mother improved places to live. Supplied him and his friends with plenty of gear and work to stay sharp. But David knew V has his own problems to deal with. Corporate beauracy. Shades of his past casting shadows on the present that threatened to take away everything he had worked to build.
