Fics like The Wolf House (I’m a Furry I Swear, Lady Lupa)

“I am a Furry, I swear!” I would not say that at gunpoint. In front of the mouth of a wolf goddess who is threatening to eat me if I don’t demonstrate “strength” or some similar caveman bullshit, I’ll be singing Furry praises all day. Welcome, Noobs, to Lupa’s Bootcamp/Daycare for the Criminally Neglected and Probably Orphaned Demigods! Complete with luxury amenities such as a wolf pack that will kill you, monsters that will kill you, foliage that will kill you, and of course, the all important, goddess that will kill you! (Maternal affection sold separately.) It’s shit like this that makes me miss the good old days where you could just do random crap in the name of training to a catchy song and just get stronger through the power of a “training montage”. But, apparently, “training montages” are a cheat code in writing and they don’t make for good storytelling. Bullshit. Oh well. What can I do? Blame the Autho- I mean, the Cosmos. Yeah. The Cosmos.
