Fics like red (wine and other things.)

“You are becoming mortal with each passing day you choose to stay in your vessel.” “How do I stop it?” He asked eagerly, looking up as though he’d seen an angel. “You have to … leave it. Your vessel.” “How can I do that? I barely even know how I arrived in it so I’m terribly lost.” “Well … how do mortals leave their bodies?” “They die.” _______ Death is a concept. One that is very real, very inevitable, very raw. No one is exempted from it, and it doesn’t have favorites. It just so happens that everyone who dies will have been someone’s favorite. But that’s the thing, isn’t it? Someone implies a living being. It seems Death might be more alive than he thinks. OR Death ponders about the sudden existence of his mortal body, accidentally stumbles across Puss in Far Far Away on a job and will soon suffer the consequences of being alive for too long.
