Fics like Unknown System, or, New Peoples

I saw a post on tumblr suggesting a crossover where Murderbot meets Sam Vimes, and I couldn't not write it. Behold: Murderbot, randomly pulled into the metropolis of Ankh-Morpork, must figure out how it got here, how to get home, and what the fuck is going on in general. Meanwhile, Sam Vimes of the city guard is hot on the trail of a suspicious-looking case at Unseen University—or at least he would be if he didn't have the baby at home to worry about... I love TMB and Discworld so much, so I tried to make this as newbie-friendly as possible. If you're coming for the Discworld, the Murderbot stuff is supposed to be as understandable as possible, and if you don't know Discworld at all but love Murderbot, hopefully it still makes sense. This is set after Exit Strategy but vaguely before Fugitive Telemetry; on the Discworld side, it's somewhere in between Night Watch and Going Postal.
