Fics like The Hermit's Refuge

Xisuma is the Void God of Vengeance, an ancient, incorporeal deity of protective rage and rightful revenge. His duty is to watch over the citizens of the Void that live in the material plane and rain justice on any that harm them. His job is not to slowly adopt an entire swarm of lost, injured, enslaved, and homeless children. He does that one on his own time. Or: Xisuma is trying to live his best solitary life at the bottom of the earth but these children keep showing up and pulling him away from it.
