Fics like through the shine of the sun

Taking up a teaching position at TOPGUN after the mission seemed like a good opportunity to stay in one place and get his bearings. It has the added bonus of letting him and Mav do this every weekend: tentative attempts at making up for lost time disguised as practical restoration of the Mustang. The other unexpected perk is all the time he’s been spending with Jake: in the air, at home, and everywhere in-between. (Bradley and Mav still have a long way to go in rebuilding their relationship, but trusting Mav's instincts has never led Bradley wrong.) For the prompt: shovel talk from an unexpected party.
