Fics like Faraway Killers

What if Sunny, instead of repressing what he did to Mari, decided on a whim to repress what she meant to him? As the fallout of their coverup of Mari's death lands them in hot water, Sunny and Basil find themselves trapped in a moral downwards spiral, giving in to their worst attributes and instincts to stay together at any cost. With mysterious disappearances rippling through the town at large, their old friends find themselves caught up in a conspiracy, trying to unravel a web of mysteries, unaware that the problem at hand might be more personal than any of them could've dreamed to guess. After all, you'd never expect the quietest, most reserved people in your life to find a hesitant liking in getting away with murder. A Character Study-turned-Thriller exploring what circumstance can do to a troubled soul, told using the cast and story of OMORI.
