Fics like Asking for Help

“I umm…” Erik clears his throat and walks over, sitting in one of the chairs in front of Charles, hoping to hide how weak his knees suddenly are. “I need some…I need help.” The words feel awkward and foreign. He doesn’t know when the last time he asked for help was. Probably when he was seven or eight, he’s certain he hasn’t ever in his adult life. Charles knows this, of course, he does. The serious look that crosses his face is proof enough of that. “Anything. What is it?” --- When Erik has no one else in the world he can trust, he knows he'll always have Charles as someone he can count on. He goes to him when he doesn't know where else to turn, with questions about the school and how to get children enrolled.
