Fics like The Clockwork Army

It's a dire time for the wizarding world. Albus Dumbledore has issued a grave warning that Lord Voldemort is attempting to return to power, only to be removed from his position by an increasingly meddling Ministry of Magic, who now seem to be taking greater measures to control Hogwarts. All of this is happening in the midst of the Triwizard Tournament, in which an agent of Voldemort himself has seen fit to attempt to force Harry to participate. Harry, however, is having absolutely none of this and has instead elected to leave the country. Under the guise of a study-abroad program at the new and prestigious Lily Academy, Harry and his friends have jetted off to America for a much-needed escape from a bunch of backwards inbreds and their crumbling society. But will the Atlantic Ocean itself be enough to keep their troubles at bay? And what mysteries await them beyond the Proclamation Line of 1763? Harry is about to find out that the New World means new troubles, ones he could never have imagined. The clock is ticking. But what is it counting down to?
