Fics like Head Over Feet

Ryker is acting strange, and Alice helps Cecil investigate what's going on. When the answer falls into her lap, it's even more pleasant than she would have imagined. “Okay, so here’s what’s going on,” Cecil began, setting his mug of Relax Tea on Alice’s table. “Palmo came to talk to Terry at the detective agency. Apparently, Ryker is working much harder than usual, and he’s worried about him.” She scrunched her nose. “That’s it? That’s the myst-” “No, no, wait! Just hear me out, okay? Palmo says that he’s been acting really out of character, and working nonstop for the past month. Not just woodworking, either - apparently, he’s been doing work all over town. All Palmo wants is an explanation! He’s worried about him. We both know Ryker, and this isn’t normal for him at all! Palmo is worried he’s sick or something.”
