Fics like Fix Today’s Mistakes Yesterday

If there was one thing Jason learned from his time in the League of Assassins it was to not rely on others for vital intel. It had quickly become apparent that Talia had drastically misinformed him about his Replacement when he went to the tower to beat a kid. A fucking kid, Red Hood was supposed to protect kids not break their legs, and ribs and scribble on the walls in their blood. When the Green receded enough that he could think again, he realized that he had been played by a master. Jason made sure that he wasn’t going to get caught like that again. So instead of completing his highly complicated plan of starting a gang war to break Joker out of prison to try and get Bruce to kill for him - how high was he when he made that plan?- he put everything on hold and started his own research.
