Fics like The Sins of the Father

Palpatine dies before Order 66 is spread to the troops—it's just not in time to stop Anakin from falling, or to stop him from fleeing. Still, the Force, more balanced than it has been in years, encourages the Jedi to rebuild in spite of a past that continues to hang over them. As Luke and Leia grow older, training to be Jedi like their father before them, they deal with the weight of what Anakin has done— something no one will fully explain to them—and each of them learns to deal with the weight of the sins of their father.
