Fics like Birds of a Feather

Calling Batman a criminal is a gross understatement of the kind of mythical monster he's built himself up as, to the point a single ordinary man is a league level threat. Even then the League doesn't know who he really is. Calling Robin a criminal is a gross oversimplification of the complex feelings Wally has of friendship-rivalry-dread-relief-fear-joy whenever he encounters Robin on a mission. And calling Wally and Robin's relationship difficult is a gross overestimation of how solid the lines or good and evil are, and how unwilling they are to mix their personal feelings of kinship with their very opposing professions. No, Wally and Robin are the easy part, it's everyone and everything else that makes what should be an easy friendship much, much more complicated
