Fics like To Love Again

After accepting Shanks’ invitation to stay aboard the Red Force, former Warlord and Alpha Swordsman Dracule Mihawk charts unfamiliar territory with the faint hope that he and Shanks might be able to recover what they once lost over thirteen years ago. Still, there’s a well of hurt that keeps Mihawk at arms length and a fear that he’s making a mistake by reopening old wounds. However, if there is one sure fact about Dracule Mihawk it’s that he does not run from a challenge. Whether this challenge will bring closure to the past or open a door to a brighter future, only time will tell. Meanwhile, Pirate Emperor Shanks is a man of many faces and even more responsibilities. He’s a man whose reputation is world renown, and wherever he goes, high expectation is sure to follow. Yet, underneath the burden wrought by being one of the world’s strongest, is an alpha whose heart yearns for a second chance to make amends for the mistakes of the past. Mihawk is willing to accept his hand in a tentative truce to try again, and Shanks vows that by any means necessary, he will not mess this up again. *mentioned/background ZoLu*
