Cas is gone and Dean is trying to keep it together, he's moved to LA, found a honest to God job, sold Baby and he's basically living a muted life as a survivalist and retired hunter, grieving his best friend. Until one night he accidentally crosses paths with a very peculiar stranger. The man looks staggering alike a certain angel and is on the run. Also, he's injured and he's got a gun. Title inspired by Italo Calvino's novel. Please note: this story is completed, I'm fixing a few things and I'm going to upload the next ten chapters one by one every couple days.
