Fics like rose petals the color of your eyes

He taps pen against paper. One hour passes, then two, then more, until the stars watch his struggle and he can hardly write down any of his ludicrous ideas, only think of those red eyes and the sharp-toothed smile, and fantasize about him. It is then and there that his throat bobs, a surge of tightness against his chest. He clutches the chair he perches on for support; he smells something floral in the air. It is sickly sweet and intoxicating, rather like his unreturned love. He feels light-headed. Then he lurches forward, an ache clawing at his respiratory tract, and spits something onto the desk. A rose petal, the colour of Dottore's eyes, followed by a single droplet of blood. - Or: Pantalone has hanahaki, and Dottore is denying his feelings because he hates showing mortal weakness.
