"I'm fine, Kakashi." The lie slips easily from his tongue. "I suppose I haven't regained full control of my strength just yet. My hand…" He holds it out in front of him to show Kakashi the trembling of his fingers. Kakashi breathes a sigh, now close enough to touch. "I see," he says, reaching out with his own two hands to calm the tremors. The shock of his palms against Obito's skin nearly causes him to drop the act right then and there. You don't see anything, he wants to say, the words simmering in his suddenly tight throat. But he doesn't, because he's Obito Uchiha. And that eye-opening realization has transformed his tiny world, ripped away any shred of comfort he could have dug from this isolated shack and its strangely familiar caretaker. In just a few devastating heartbeats, he's found himself in the middle of the lion's den, powerless and without an ally in sight. - Obito's act of the harmless amnesiac war criminal is helped by the fact that, for the first few weeks, he really can't remember shit.
