Fics like Swimming in Jade

“Whoa Entei,” I said, calming my flaming horse so he would slow as I hopped off, brushing his face gently in praise as I bent down to sift through some of the barren wasteland at our feet for what I thought I smelled were berries. It was always hard to find food–like food food in the wild that wasn’t poisoned by other, greedy people only looking out for themselves, or that was just dead. There’d been nothing for miles as we road over the plains–fields–whatever the fuck they used to be before everything went to shit. Bet you’re wondering how the world ended, huh? Bet you’re wondering exactly what it was–plague, famine, war, technology?? Nah. None of that. Trust. That’s right. Trust was what killed the world. ~~~~ Or, Inuyasha ended up on a mission to save the world by finding the hidden miko Kagome that had saved the world hundreds of years ago before disappearing. Once he finds her asleep in a well, he's in for a very big surprise to find out that the stories that were told weren't exactly entirely truthful. Now, he has to learn how to work together with someone he doesn't know, as well as learn to trust someone again.
